Questions

Asked before buying, answered honestly

Including the ones where the answer is “not yet”. A FAQ that only says yes is one you stop trusting at the second question.

Does InFastPOS work without internet?

Yes. Billing, the kitchen display, inventory, recipes and reports all run on your own computer and need no connection. The internet is used for three things only: activating your licence once, uploading cloud backups, and downloading updates. If the connection drops mid-shift, the till keeps taking orders and nothing is lost.

What happens to my data if the computer fails?

InFastPOS takes an automatic backup every few hours and keeps the last fourteen, and you can take a manual backup at any time. Restoring asks you to confirm, takes a snapshot of the current data first, and applies the restore on the next launch before the database is opened — replacing a file that is in use is how a restore corrupts the thing it was meant to recover.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes — 15 days of the complete product, no card required and nothing switched off. A crippled trial cannot tell you whether the software suits your shop, which is the only question a trial exists to answer.

What does InFastPOS cost?

Rs 35,000 once, for one computer, with no expiry and no renewal. Cloud backup is a separate Rs 5,000 a year and is entirely optional — if you never buy it, the software keeps working exactly as it does on day one, with automatic backups still running on your own machine.

Is Rs 35,000 really one payment, or does something expire?

One payment. Updates and support are included for as long as we publish them, and the licence has no end date. The only recurring charge we offer is cloud backup, and that adds off-site copies rather than switching anything on or off. A lifetime licence with a yearly fee attached to features would not be a lifetime licence, so we do not sell one.

How many computers does one licence cover?

One. A second till, or a second branch, needs its own licence. InFastPOS runs offline with the database on the machine itself, so a licence covers the machine it is installed on.

What if the computer dies? Do I lose the licence?

No, and there is no charge to move it. Ask for a transfer from your account, tell us what happened, and we free the seat so you can activate on the replacement. We review each request rather than releasing it automatically — a seat that frees itself on demand is a one-PC licence quietly running three shops, and the price rests on that not being possible. In practice it takes hours, not days.

Does it handle delivery orders and riders?

Yes. Delivery zones carry their own fee, minimum order and expected time; orders can be assigned to a rider and tracked through to delivered, and cash-on-delivery is reconciled against the rider rather than the till.

Will it tell me what a dish actually costs to make?

Yes, if you enter recipes. Each dish links to its ingredients with quantities and a wastage allowance, and the food cost is recalculated from your real purchase prices. Selling a dish deducts its ingredients from stock automatically. Orders record the recipe version used, so last month's food cost does not change when you edit a recipe today.

Can it print to a thermal receipt printer?

Yes — 58mm and 80mm thermal printers over USB, network or the system print queue, plus A4 invoices. Kitchen tickets can be routed to a separate printer per station, so the grill and the drinks counter each get only their own items.

Is it available in Urdu?

The interface is in English today. Receipts print the shop name, address and item names exactly as you enter them, so Urdu item names print correctly if your printer supports the character set. A full Urdu interface is planned but not shipped, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

What happens when my licence expires?

You keep full access to your data. An expired licence stops new sales being recorded but never locks you out of reports, exports or backups — your trading history is yours, and holding it hostage would be indefensible.

Can I run it in two shops?

Each shop needs its own licence, because each shop is a separate computer holding its own data. Tell us if you are opening a second branch — we would rather quote you properly than have you find out at the activation screen.
