What we know about your shop

Almost nothing, by design. InFastPOS keeps your business data on your own computer, and this page says precisely what does and does not reach us.

The short version

InFastPOS runs on your computer and stores your business data there. We do not receive your sales, your customers or your menu unless you deliberately turn on cloud sync or upload a backup. This page describes exactly what does and does not reach us.

What the desktop software stores locally

Orders, products, recipes, stock, customers, staff accounts and settings are held in a database file on the shop’s own machine. Staff PINs and passwords are stored as one-way hashes, never as the original text — we could not recover a forgotten PIN even if asked to.

What reaches us, and when

  • Licence activation. Once, when you activate: the licence key, a device identifier derived from your hardware, your business name and the application version. This is how a licence is tied to a seat.
  • Licence revalidation. Periodically, if a connection is available: the same device identifier and version, so a revoked or expired licence can be reflected. No business data is sent.
  • Cloud sync, only if you enable it. Completed orders and their totals, so figures can be read outside the shop. It is off until you switch it on.
  • Cloud backup, only if you enable it. An encrypted copy of your database file. Off by default.
  • Update checks. Your current version and release channel, when you ask the software to check.

What never reaches us

Your menu, prices, recipes, suppliers, staff records and customer details, unless they are inside a backup you chose to upload or an order sent by sync you chose to enable. There is no telemetry, no usage analytics and no crash reporting that sends data without asking.

The device identifier

Activation computes a fingerprint from stable hardware characteristics of the machine. It is used to bind a licence seat to a computer and to detect a licence copied onto different hardware. It is not a serial number we can trace to a person, and it carries nothing about what the shop sells.

This website

The site sets one item in your browser’s local storage: whether you chose light or dark. It is read only by the page itself and never sent anywhere. There are no advertising or analytics trackers on these pages, which is also why they load as quickly as they do.

Your customers’ data

If you record customer names, phone numbers and delivery addresses, that data is yours and it is held on your machine. You are the party responsible for it under Pakistani law. We can help you export or delete it, but we do not hold a copy of it unless you turned on sync or sent us a backup.

Asking us to delete something

If you have used cloud sync or backup and want that data removed, ask and we will delete it. Licence and activation records are kept for the licence term plus a period afterwards, because they are what lets us reissue a licence to a customer who reinstalls.
